Walgreens Suggested Scenarios for 1/9 - 1/15

When doing your Walgreens/Register Rewards shopping, it is ALWAYS KEY to have the LEAST amount of out of pocket (OOP) expense as possible. I also like to try to stick to around 4 transactions.
To learn a little bit more about how to make the Walgreens RR program work for you, check out my Walgreens Helpful Hints section.

For this week, I have $7 in RRs to begin with. This is just to give you an idea on how Walgreens RRs and transactions work.
IF you are just starting out and don't have any RRs to start with, I will help you with that as well :)

1st Transaction

Go! Kids Multivitamin Gummies $5.00
Russell Stover Chocolate Heart 39¢ w/in-ad coupon *filler item
-$3 RR (from last week's Advil deal)
-$2 RR (from Pantene deal)
= 39¢ + tax earn $5 RR

2nd Transaction

EOS Lip Balm or Shaving Cream $2.99
Tylenol Precise Pain Relief $5.99
Russell Stover Chocolate Heart 39¢ w/in-ad coupon *filler item
- $2 Tylenol Precise MQ (from the 12/12 RP or 1/9 SS insert or printable coupon)
- $2 RR (from Pantene deal)
- $5 RR (from Go! Kids Multivitamins)
= 37¢ + tax earn $2 RR and $3 RR

3rd Transaction

Go! Kids Multivitamin Gummies $5.00
Russell Stover Chocolate Heart 39¢ w/in-ad coupon *filler item
-$3 RR (from Tylenol Precise)
-$2 RR (from EOS)
= 39¢ + tax earn $5 RR

4th Transaction

EOS Lip Balm or Shaving Cream $2.99
Tylenol Precise Pain Relief $5.99
-$2 Tylenol Precise MQ (from the 12/12 RP or 1/9 SS insert or printable coupon)
-$5 RR (from Go! Kids Multivitamin)
= $1.98 + tax earn $2 RR earn $3 RR

My total OOP: $3.13 + tax and I will have $5 in RRs to roll if I choose to do more transactions later this week, or save them for next week.

NOW...if you don't have any RR to begin with, I would start with this:

Transaction 1

Buy 1 Go! Kids Multivitamin Gummies $5.00
= $5.00 + tax and earn $5 RR

2nd Transaction

EOS Lip Balm or Shaving Cream $2.99
Tylenol Precise Pain Relief $5.99
-$2 Tylenol Precise MQ (from the 12/12 RP or 1/9 SS insert or printable coupon)
-$5 RR (from Go! Kids Multivitamins)
= $1.98 + tax earn $2 RR earn $3 RR

...and then go from there :)
This is a WONDERFUL way to stock up and/or donate!

If you have any cool scenarios to share, please leave a comment! :)

  1. hmmmm.... very nice ideas! Thanks that helped when I went there tonight! I did the gummies multi-vitamins to get the $5RR and some other stuff and in another transaction I got the Lysol soap auto dispenser thing that was $14.99 for $11.99 on sale plus $7RR and then used the $3 off coupon from the Sunday paper! Awesome deal! Making the dispenser $2 after coupon and RR!! Which I used the $5RR from the first transaction towards this!
